INVISIBLE ECHOES ist eine Performance, die Machtverhältnisse und Machtdynamiken durch verschiedene künstlerische Darstellungsformen auf der Bühne erforscht und erfahrbar macht. Neun Künstler:innen aus der Region Würzburg vereinen dafür Breakdance, Live-Musik, Gesang, zeitgenössisches Ballett und Lyrik zu einer Sammlung aus Darbietungen, die Impulse für Selbstreflexion und Austausch liefern. Die Augustinerkirche Würzburg dient als Aufführungsort dieser site-specific Performance. Durch ihren konzentrischen Innenraum wird die Kirche weniger zur Bühne als vielmehr zur Spielfläche für inszenierte Szenen, experimentelles Hinterfragen und improvisatorische Interaktion der Künstler:innen.

INVISIBLE ECHOES findet im Rahmen der Veranstaltungsreihe Macht! – Zwischen Bemächtigung und Ermächtigung während der Fastenzeit 2025 in der Augustinerkirche Würzburg statt. Der Performance-Abend knüpft in Teilen an die Ausstellung THE INVISIBLE – Über die Offenlegung von Machtstrukturen und Machtmissbrauch an, die vom 7.3. – 11.4.2025 in der Kirche gezeigt wird, und erweitert somit deren künstlerische Auseinandersetzung mit dem Thema.

Performance Evening

INVISIBLE ECHOES is a performance that explores and makes power structures and power dynamics tangible through various artistic forms of expression on stage. Nine artists from the Würzburg region combine breakdance, live music, singing, contemporary ballet, and poetry into a collection of performances that inspire self-reflection and dialogue. The Augustiner Church in Würzburg serves as the venue for this site-specific performance. With its concentric interior, the church becomes less of a stage and more of a space for choreographed scenes, experimental investigating, and improvisational interaction among the artists.

INVISIBLE ECHOES takes place as part of the event series Macht! – Zwischen Bemächtigung und Ermächtigung during Lent 2025 at the Augustiner Church in Würzburg. The performance evening partially connects to the exhibition THE INVISIBLE – On revealing power structures and abuse of power, which will be displayed in the church from 7.3. – 11.4.2025, further expanding its artistic engagement with the topic.
